For as long as I can remember I’ve had this habit of creating something for a project, using it and then abstracting it into a template I can use again. As a result I’ve some decent tools for everything from process mapping to persona design to modelling workforce demands in contact centres. Since I started using Sketch I’ve adopted the same approach and have slowly been building a template archive.
I needed a basic “video playback” wireframe for a project. Rather than hunt around for something I put something together quickly (the first cut took about 15 minutes) based on Apple’s Quicktime UI. It went into the project the client was happy etc.
Because I start from the perspective of “this could be a template” it was pretty easy for me to rework the wireframe into a set of symbols and create different sizes and contrasts. It’s also reasonably easy to maintain and adapt for different projects. It’s been created in Sketch 4.1 and you’re welcome to download and use it under a Creative Commons Attribution licence.
You can download the template here.
